My name is Johnny Raicu and I’m a bioengineering student on the premed track at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I'm passionate about exploring how technology can be used to improve healthcare. At the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology in Urbana, I research the mechanisms by which complex sounds, such as speech, are processed by the auditory system. Outside the lab, I enjoy playing violin in the Philharmonia Orchestra at the University of Illinois.
